The theme of this kitchen is warmth and light. The Giallo Florito granite countertop is a great complement to the light maple cabinets. Large glass doors display our client’s artistic tastes and hobbies.

Hello, I have recently renovated my kitchen…light maple cabinets, dark gray tile floor, dark laminate (HD) countertop (brown and blacks), med.gray walls, and stainless steel appliances. I am happy with the overall look but now I am stumped on backsplash colour. Should I stick to the tones in the countertop or put a splash of colour in the room? I was thinking of glass tile but my kitchen is a horshoe shape and this would entail about 50 square feet of glass. Is this too much? Any suggestions would be helpful. thank you.

    Hi Barb,

Thank you for visitting! Generally, 50 sq. feet is average for a full backsplash (backsplash that goes all the way up to the cabinet).

How much light does your kitchen get? If it gets a fair amount of light, I recommend matching by choosing a tone between the cabinets and your FLOOR tile.

Otherwise, if your ktichen doesn’t get a lot of light, your glass idea is inspired.

    I hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

Maple kitchen cabinets can be one of the best investments that you can make in your home not only because they will last practically forever, but because they are versatile and affordable. In fact, this is the reason that maple cabinets are so popular.
